Walk & Talk with crisis negotiator | Special Guest Ben Linton | January 17, 2026
OR
Description
London Hike Club: walk with the expert - Ben Linton.
Join us for a powerful Saturday morning walk through Richmond Park with Ben Linton, a former police officer and crisis negotiator with 16 years of frontline experience.
Ben has lived through the intensity of service, the pressure of saving lives, and the aftermath of trauma. His journey through complex PTSD is one of survival, resilience, and deep understanding of what it means to face your mind and come out stronger.
January is often the hardest month of the year. After the holidays, when the world slows down and reality sets back in, many of us feel the weight of returning to routine, pressure, or solitude. This is the time when support, open conversations, and shared walks like this matter most.
Together, we will explore the impact of everyday stress on our mental health, how to have difficult conversations, and what it truly means to listen to others and to ourselves.
Meeting point: Richmond Station
Route: Walk through Richmond Park
Hikers will learn:
- To understand that mental health struggles are part of being human
- To break down the stigma surrounding mental health
- To gain perspective on crisis negotiation and suicide intervention
Let’s start the year grounded, connected, and reminded that none of us are alone.
This is 1.5- 2 hours walk.
