Hike at Modern Hall Park: A Suburban Oasis with a Victorian Soul.

Hampstead Hikers: National Trust Edition

This September, our National Trust Edition takes us to Morden Hall Park in South London, a green sanctuary rich with history and natural beauty. Once the 19th-century estate of the Hatfeild family, the park now offers peaceful riverside paths, grand tree-lined avenues, and the timeless presence of Morden Hall itself.

Hampstead Hikers walks are not only about the route. They are about the quality of the people you meet along the way. Expect warm introductions, engaging conversations, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded people who share a love for culture, nature, and discovery. We always make time for everyone to meet, so you leave having enriched both your mind and your network.

What is the National Trust and why it matters
Founded in 1895, the National Trust is one of the most important institutions in the United Kingdom for preserving the nation’s heritage. It cares for more than 500 historic houses, gardens, parks, and nature reserves, protecting them for future generations. Visiting these sites is not simply a day out. It is stepping into the story of England.

Our mission with the National Trust Edition
Through this series we explore the gems of the National Trust’s collection, from grand estates to hidden countryside landmarks. Each month we visit a different site, walking its grounds, uncovering its stories, and appreciating its place in the cultural fabric of the United Kingdom. This format works beautifully for anyone looking to discover the United Kingdom and London. It is ideal for those who have recently arrived as well as for locals who have lived here for decades and want to see their home with fresh eyes.
